About

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in learning more about me. I’m truly excited to share a bit about the journey that has brought me to where I am today.

I’ve always believed that our surroundings shape who we are, and that’s certainly true for me. Growing up in a Persian home, I was immersed in a kaleidoscope of rich colours—from the vibrant hues of Persian carpets to the lush greens and deep reds of fragrant gardens filled with roses, jasmine, tulips, lavender and majestic cypress trees. The beauty of these colours, often echoed in the intricate tile work of traditional Persian architecture and the timeless allure of Persian pottery, ignited my early passion for art. In the bustling bazaars, where the scent of spices mingled with the lively sounds of merchants, I witnessed a world where every corner seemed to tell a story through its textures, patterns, and vivid displays. The graceful arches, intricate mosaics, and courtyards with tranquil fountains and reflecting pools shaped my sense of design and aesthetics. Persian poetry, too, has always been a guiding light, with its eloquent verses of love, nature, and the pursuit of beauty—its words and rhythms resonated deeply within me. The vibrant landscapes of my heritage, alongside the countless stories passed down through generations, have become an endless source of inspiration, continually fueling my creative spirit and influencing every piece I create.

But my journey didn’t stop there. From the age of 8, I began travelling to European countries with my family, and by the age of 17, I made the move permanent. This shift opened my eyes to a new world of culture, design, and beauty. Combined with my love for the English countryside since childhood, this experience has woven a tapestry of influences into my work—one that blends tradition with modern creativity. Creativity has always been my outlet—a way to explore, express, and grow. My path has been full of discoveries, from painting and printing to pottery and jewellery. Every medium I explore gives me new ways to connect with the materials and textures I work with, deepening my appreciation for the art of craftsmanship. Through this ongoing journey of experimentation, I’ve honed my skills, always striving to create designs that spark curiosity and bring a sense of joy and playfulness into everyday life.

Through my brand, MOJI, I’ve found a way to merge these diverse elements into designs that feel both personal and rich in meaning, lasting in beauty, and full of character. Every piece I create is a reflection of my journey—whether it’s the timeless beauty of Persian gardens, the elegance of European cities, or the serene landscapes of England. My goal is for each design to not only tell a story but also create an emotional connection, bringing joy, beauty, and cultural richness into your space.

Since 2008, I’ve been fortunate to share my creations with the world—curating collections of fabrics, papers, home décor, accessories, and gifts. Whether you’re adding a splash of colour to your home or bringing a piece of tradition into your space, I believe that each design has the power to make life a little more beautiful and meaningful.

When I’m not creating new collections or designing homes for my clients, you’ll find me at my Coach House Studio in Brighton. It’s a space where I spend time reflecting, experimenting, and teaching courses in textile printing and lampshade making. Sharing my love for handmade craftsmanship with others is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

Thank you for being here and for supporting this journey of creativity, culture, and craftsmanship. I believe that art has the power to bring us all together, and I hope that my work brings a little bit of that magic into your world.
